Natin — Terms of Use
Last updated: September 28, 2026
Welcome to Natin.
Natin means ours.
Natin is an ecosystem for ideas, tools, conversations, communities, information, and things people build together.
These Terms of Use govern your use of www.natin.ph and Natin services that expressly adopt these Terms.
Individual Natin products may have additional terms, community rules, contributor agreements, or product-specific policies. When they do, those rules apply to your use of that particular product together with these Terms.
1. Using Natin
By using Natin, you agree to use the services lawfully and responsibly.
You may use Natin to:
- discover Natin projects;
- create and maintain a Natin account;
- participate in communities;
- use Natin products;
- publish or contribute content where a product permits it;
- communicate with other users where a product provides communication functionality;
- build, contribute to, partner with, or otherwise participate in Natin projects where applicable.
Some services may require an account.
Some services may be available without an account.
Some services may impose additional eligibility or participation requirements.
2. Natin Is an Ecosystem, Not One Application
Natin is a collection of products, projects, services, experiments, and communities.
The fact that something appears within the Natin ecosystem does not mean that every Natin project has:
- the same operator;
- the same technical architecture;
- the same data;
- the same permissions;
- the same availability;
- the same community rules;
- the same commercial model;
- the same security properties.
Individual product pages and policies should identify important differences.
3. Your Natin Account
A Natin account may provide a common identity across participating Natin services.
Your account does not automatically authorize you to access every Natin product or administrative function.
Products may separately determine:
- whether you can use the product;
- what information you can access;
- what actions you can perform;
- what communities you can join;
- whether you can publish or contribute;
- whether you receive a project-specific role.
Natin's account architecture follows the principle:
Identity ≠ Data ≠ Authorization.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining reasonable control over your account credentials.
You must not:
- impersonate another person;
- falsely represent your affiliation with Natin or another organization;
- share authentication credentials in a way that compromises your account;
- attempt to obtain another person's account;
- circumvent access controls;
- use another person's account without authorization.
If you believe your account has been compromised, notify Natin through the applicable support or security channel as soon as reasonably possible.
5. Project-Specific Rules
Individual Natin products may establish additional rules.
Examples include rules governing:
- communication and messaging;
- community conduct;
- publishing;
- contributor responsibilities;
- moderation;
- research access;
- project administration;
- payments;
- professional or commercial activities.
If a product-specific rule conflicts with these Terms on a matter specific to that product, the product-specific rule will generally control that matter.
6. Your Content
You generally retain the rights you already have in content you create and submit to Natin.
When you submit content to a Natin product, you grant that product the permissions reasonably necessary to operate the service.
The scope of that permission depends on the product.
For example, a publishing service may need permission to display your article publicly.
A communication service may need permission to transmit and store messages so that the service can function.
A private service should not be treated as if it were a public publishing platform.
Product-specific terms may provide more precise information about these permissions.
7. Public Content
If you publish content publicly, you understand that other people may be able to:
- view it;
- copy it;
- quote it;
- link to it;
- share it;
- archive it;
- index it.
Natin cannot guarantee that information intentionally published to the public can later be completely removed from copies maintained by third parties.
You should therefore consider carefully whether information is appropriate for public publication.
8. Respect Other People
Natin is intended to be a place where people can communicate, create, participate, and build.
You must not use Natin to:
- threaten or intentionally harm others;
- harass or stalk people;
- impersonate others;
- distribute malicious software;
- attempt unauthorized access;
- interfere with another person's account or service;
- commit fraud;
- unlawfully obtain or disclose personal information;
- violate applicable law;
- deliberately circumvent technical or security controls;
- abuse a product's communication, publishing, or community functions.
Individual products may provide more detailed community standards.
9. Security and Responsible Use
You must not attempt to compromise Natin systems or another user's account.
Prohibited activities include:
- unauthorized penetration or access;
- credential theft;
- exploiting vulnerabilities without authorization;
- denial-of-service attacks;
- malicious automation;
- attempting to bypass authentication or authorization;
- introducing malicious code;
- accessing data you are not authorized to access.
If you discover a security vulnerability, we encourage responsible disclosure through the security contact or process published by Natin.
10. Intellectual Property
Natin and its licensors retain rights in Natin's software, branding, visual identity, documentation, original designs, and other materials owned by Natin or its licensors.
Except where expressly permitted, you may not:
- copy Natin branding in a way that falsely suggests affiliation;
- reproduce proprietary Natin software;
- reverse engineer or circumvent technical protections where prohibited by law;
- use Natin trademarks or project identities to mislead people about sponsorship or affiliation.
Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
11. Natin's Name and Brand
"Natin," the Natin name, logos, project names, visual identities, and related marks may be protected intellectual property.
Being part of the Natin ecosystem does not automatically give you permission to represent yourself as Natin or to speak on behalf of Natin.
Natin may permit communities, contributors, developers, and partners to use certain branding under separate guidelines or agreements.
12. User-Generated Content
Some Natin products allow users to create and publish content.
You are responsible for content you submit to those products.
You represent that, to the extent required by law:
- you have the necessary rights or permissions to submit the content;
- your content does not knowingly violate another person's rights;
- your content does not knowingly contain unlawful material.
Natin may remove, restrict, or preserve content where reasonably necessary to:
- enforce product rules;
- protect users;
- investigate abuse;
- respond to valid legal requests;
- protect the integrity or security of the service;
- comply with applicable law.
13. Moderation
Some Natin communities and products may have moderators, administrators, or automated systems.
Moderation may include:
- reviewing reports;
- restricting content;
- suspending accounts;
- limiting functionality;
- removing content;
- investigating abuse;
- preventing spam or malicious activity.
Different products may use different moderation systems.
Moderation decisions may be governed by product-specific rules and appeal procedures.
14. Information and Reference Products
Some Natin products may provide information about people, organizations, institutions, public records, laws, government, politics, or other subjects.
Such products are intended to organize and present information responsibly.
Information products should not be interpreted as guarantees that every piece of information is complete, current, or error-free.
Where appropriate, Natin projects should identify sources, dates, provenance, corrections, and relevant uncertainty.
Users should not treat an informational product as a substitute for official records, professional advice, or legally authoritative sources where those are required.
15. Availability and Changes
Natin is continuously being built.
Some projects may be:
- live;
- beta;
- under development;
- community-run;
- experimental;
- ideas or prototypes.
A project may change, pause, move, or be discontinued.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue a service when reasonably necessary, including for maintenance, security, legal requirements, operational reasons, or development decisions.
Where practical, we will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.
16. Third-Party Services
Natin may integrate with services operated by other organizations.
Those services may have their own:
- terms;
- privacy policies;
- security practices;
- availability;
- fees;
- limitations.
Your use of a third-party service may therefore be governed by that provider's terms as well as these Terms.
17. Projects Operated by Others
Some projects may be created, operated, or supported by independent teams, partners, developers, organizations, or other participants in the Natin ecosystem.
Where a project is independently operated, Natin may not control every aspect of that project's:
- operations;
- content;
- technical architecture;
- privacy practices;
- availability;
- moderation;
- commercial arrangements.
The applicable project documentation should identify the responsible operator where appropriate.
18. No Guarantee of Perfect Security
We take security seriously.
However, no internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security, continuous availability, or freedom from vulnerabilities.
Natin therefore does not promise that:
- every service will always be available;
- every message or file will always be preserved;
- every system will be free of vulnerabilities;
- unauthorized access can never occur;
- every third-party service will remain available.
We commit instead to maintaining reasonable security practices, responding to incidents, and improving our systems over time.
19. No Professional Advice
Unless a specific Natin service expressly states otherwise, information provided through Natin is general information and should not automatically be treated as:
- legal advice;
- financial advice;
- medical advice;
- investment advice;
- professional advice.
Where a decision has significant consequences, consult an appropriately qualified professional or authoritative source.
20. Privacy
Your use of Natin is also subject to the applicable Natin Privacy & Security Policy.
The Privacy & Security Policy explains how Natin processes personal information and how privacy and security are approached across the ecosystem.
21. Legal Compliance
You must comply with laws applicable to your use of Natin.
This includes laws concerning, where applicable:
- privacy and personal information;
- intellectual property;
- communications;
- cybersecurity;
- fraud;
- harassment and threats;
- unlawful content;
- consumer protection;
- electronic transactions.
Natin may cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities.
22. Suspension and Termination
Natin or an individual project may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary, including when:
- these Terms or product rules are violated;
- an account presents a security risk;
- access is being used for unlawful activity;
- required by law;
- necessary to protect users or the service;
- a product is discontinued.
Where appropriate, product-specific appeal or review procedures may be available.
Termination of access does not necessarily terminate obligations that by their nature should continue, including obligations concerning intellectual property, lawful use, outstanding transactions, or dispute resolution.
23. Disclaimers
Natin services are provided on an "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law.
We do not guarantee that every service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or continuously available.
Information may contain errors or omissions.
Natin will make reasonable efforts to maintain and improve the services, but technology, networks, third-party services, and other circumstances can fail or change.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
24. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Natin and the entities responsible for the applicable service will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of a service where such limitation is legally permitted.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Product-specific terms may contain additional provisions appropriate to that product.
25. Changes to These Terms
Natin may update these Terms as the ecosystem develops, products change, and legal requirements evolve.
When changes are material, we will provide appropriate notice.
Your continued use of a service after an updated version becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you do not agree with a material change, you should stop using the affected service.
26. Governing Law
Unless a product-specific agreement provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, subject to applicable mandatory legal protections and jurisdictional requirements.
27. Contact
Questions concerning these Terms should be directed through the contact mechanism published by Natin.
For privacy matters, please use the privacy contact process described in the Natin Privacy & Security Policy.
For security vulnerabilities, use Natin's designated security reporting channel where available.
28. The Natin Principle
Natin is not intended to be merely a collection of websites.
It is an ecosystem built around a simple idea:
**Our ideas.
Our execution.
Our future.**
That means building technology that people can participate in, contribute to, question, improve, and make their own.
We will continue to build Natin as an ecosystem where people can create and use things with clarity about how those things work and what responsibilities come with using them.
NATIN — Our internet.
